ALL 4 ONE LAUNCHES THE FIRST OF MANY COMMUNITY SUPPORT CENTRES

WHEREVER you set foot worldwide, you discover that every population has its dreamers and doers, not-so-quiet rattlers and quiet heroes and heroines. Westbury, a township situated on the west end of the Golden City of Johannesburg, has its fair share of a combination of quiet-heroes-and-doers is Jason Pailman and Naseruddin, Jappie, founding members of All 4 One Community, a NPO with Community Development and Support at the core of its Vision and Mission. Whether you call it fate or coincidence, Jason and Naseer (short for Naseeruddin) collected their combined efforts a divine interventions, and started God's work.

Jason breaks the ice, as he chats to Soweto WayaWaya at the All 4 One Community Support Centre. “When Naseer and I got together, the first thing we realised was that we both shared the same passion of serving the community, and had a vision to create a prototype of a Community Support Centre by the community and for the community whereby Community Members, NPO's, Local Businesses and other Community Support Structures could Cooperate and Communicate better for the upliftment of the Community hence the name All 4 One Community.”

Their wives also followed suite in support of the NPO and are serving as administrators. Sukaynah and Jennerly, work well with their husbands in serving the Community .All 4 One boasts of Shane Williams, another quiet hero, as Communications Manager. Shane takes over: “We invite unemployed and self-employed members of the community to participate in the All 4 One Employment and Business Development Initiatives, where the focus will be on their strengths, rather than try to fix their weaknesses, and point them in the right direction and the way-forward towards a brighter future.

Naseerudin Jappie
Walking down the memory-lane, Naseer, who comes from a financial background, recalls the source of the force that drives him to do what he does: “About five years ago, I had shortly been out of a job, when I met Asharaf Moosa, who was involved in recycling, and I had always been inspired to enter the recycling industry. “Fortunately, Mr Moosa allowed one of his workers to take me along on his rounds in Noordgesig, so that I would gain first-hand experience and grasp the nitty-gritties of recycling. Along the rounds, we bumped into one desperate lady, who lamented the fact that she had no food to feed herself and her family. “I was so deeply-touched and moved by her plight as I tried to put myself in her position and step into her shoes that I extended a helping hand by giving her `something’ to help put food on the table for herself and family. When you remove yourself from your comfort-zone, you get passionate about helping people in need.”

Naseer took his first giant step in the right direction when

he bought from small recyclers and, in turn, sell to bigger groups, which he did for three years in succession, until 2016. A year later, in March 2017, he became founder of Block-Watch, a Community Policing Forum (CPF) in Florida, in Roodepoort, of which he was Chairman. “In 2018, the three of us: Mr Moosa, a close friend of mine and I founded the South African Justice League, but sadly it had a limited scope. That was exactly when Jason and I met, armed with the same passion for the community, All 4 One Community was then born.”

Jason Pailman
Prior to meeting Naseer, for a period of about 10 years, Jason had been working within the Community Stakeholders and was in Eldorado Park during the anti-drugs campaign, where Ms Dereline James was the point-of-focus. Regrettably, there was no infrastructure to back the campaign, and so Jason went back to his area of Newclare. “We had a plan regarding a Support Infrastructure to back up the Anti Drug Campayne that Government was going to implement in Newclare. The Plan was endorsed by the Gauteng Premier at the time, who was brought to the area by Bishop Dalton Adams. we then launched what we called (CSI) Community Support Infrastructure, but some people were against it due to political influences, and so it failed.

This time, we talk to every individual to support the mission and vision of All 4
One, which is all about serving the community, as our aptly states it: `Creating Unity in the Community’. “At All 4 One, we inspire community members to start becoming involved and utilise the centre, while Community Support Centre will be used to connect the community to all the necessary community support structure and upliftment Opportunities available. We will supply people with answers as they go about looking for valuable infomation that will improve their lives.

Centre will provide the community with facilities such as, and including, the use of internet and print, drafting of business plans, access to South African Revenue Services (SARS), skills development, creating cooperatives, Of course, empty talk without action is futile. As a result, the All 4 One trio will embark on a home-to-home campaign to get the pulse of what the community needs.

“When people come to All 4 One Community Centre, we will guide them in certain skills and social development, by focusing on what they are capable of doing, rather than paying attention on their short-comings. We a focusing of a 10 kilometres radius of Westbury, after which we hope to spread our wings to other communities like Orlando East, Noordgesig, right until District Six, and beyond.”

Whether you call the all 4 One team energetic, imaginary or pushy; we at Soweto WayaWaya simply call them amazing, awesome, incredible and unforgettable. As much as the world is made of three types of people, namely those who wait for things to happen, those who make things and those who ask: `what happened?’ the `Amazing Trio’ belong to the group of people who make things happen, and are called doers.

COMMUNITY
SUPPORT CENTRE

All 4 One Community is in the process of assisting Stakeholders of similar fields or focus to join forces in order to serve their target areas more effectively.

Once Stakeholders UNITE and demarcate their areas of responsibility, duplication of services and resources will be eliminated, thus increasing available Manpower and therefore ensuring more effective and improved community service and support. Initiatives and Events can therefore be coordinated more efficiently.

Stakeholders (NPOs, CBOs, NGOs, FBOs, etc.) are reminded that they were established with the main objective of serving the Community and not for Grand Standing or Self-gain.
